spyderco native
About 20 years ago I bought a spyderco native while at the factory in Golden. The list price was about $55. It seemed pricey, but it was nice to get something directly at the factory. They were pricey back then, and they are still pricey, about $150. It's a great little knife and the only thing that didn't hold up was the clip, but still a work horse for a G10 plastic frame. The thing still works great.
Having said all that I won't buy knives this expensive any more. There are lots of $20 knives that sharpen easy and it's fine to try different ones for fun. For me, buying an expensive knife makes me want to stay with it. Plus, this type of knife generally isn't intended as an industrial tool, like on a construction site, but still a great knife.
