Android and iPhone phone calling features suck
The call app that allows you to make phone calls will not allow you to block all calls that aren't in your contacts. They still show that the call was missed, and the phone still shows that the phone is ringing even though no sound is coming out. So although you don't get a direct interruption from the phone that a call is coming in the call still takes place, and your phone registers it in the log and shows it on the quick settings page and up at the top while the call is in progress and it also shows better call was missed even though I never wanted to call in the first place. So they need a feature that just drops calls without any indication anywhere on your phone that a call was ever even attempted to the phone. This also needs to extend to the voicemail, which currently could be done on the phone but currently the phone app people say that voicemail is handled by your carrier. But the carrier only send you to voicemail if the call is not answered. So in other words if you don't want calls and you don't want to going to voicemail for the phone app should do is answer the call in the background and just hang up without notifying you at all.
