local coffee shop closed

This place was a nice modern style coffee shop. The problems seemed to be the location and I noticed a clientele problem. This place needed to be running at high volume with significant lobby business and drive thru.

The location was plainly visible to a major street,  but they didn't have a large sign. Also, they didn't have direct major street access, but access was easy. So, there are some fast food places nearby, not sure that matters. but the store wasn't generating any excitement. And it wasn't easy to see it was open. Sometimes there was only one employee, which is a bad sign.

There coffee was good with normal food selection. Product seemed fine.

They had a nice lobby, but generally there were only men and there were some mentally challenged or socially diminished people sitting and talking too loudly. This was a real turn off. You often go too a coffee shop to think or have quiet conversation, but high volume talking in a diminished mental way is a big distraction. They were paying customers, but they limited the lobby appeal.

The whole vibe of a place has a big impact. at Walmart loud people are occasionally expected, but even there it's not ok.

So, it felt awkward to try and sit with your drink and read a book or stare out the window. it wasn't working. And the place was mostly empty, so it wasn't a crowd problem.

To reopen they would need to address this stuff, plus evaluate if the traffic was interested in coffee at that location. I would go to the place occasionally if there were a mix of men and women customers, the lobby was quiet, and not too crowded.
