humanity is a living organism

 One idea is that humanity is a living organism. It kind of makes sense if you look at what happened with Adam and Eve. Eve sins and then Adam sins and then all of humanity is cursed for thousands of years and hundreds of billions of people. We are all paying for Adam and Eve screwing up. Well it doesn't really make sense. In fact God even says the children shouldn't pay for the sins of the parents and the parents shouldn't pay for the sins of the children. But here we are all paying for the sins of two people. The only way that makes any sense to me is if we all are actually connected as one organism that actually committed the sin collectively. Now I can't prove this and it doesn't really make any sense. For instance how could you decide who to put into hell and who to put into heaven. The Bible says that's going to be on an individual basis based on your beliefs and your works. So somehow we're going to keep the fingernail but throw away the heart. It's kind of weird.
