they'll kill me for my wife

 Abraham was worried the Egyptians would kill him and take Sara. But the only time this happens in the Bible is when David has Uriah killed and marries Bathsheba. David is a "son" of Abraham. There are many unnamed occurrences when invaders kill all the men and keep the women for themselves.
