it's not your fault

 It's not necessarily your fault when someone dies of a head injury.

My two best buddies were riding and driving in the front seat of a VW; I was in the back seat.  The passenger was kidding around acting like the driver was slamming on the brakes. He kept making screeching noises and leaning forward every time the driver stepped on the brakes. Well, 1960s VWs have a fairly flat windshield. The driver tapped the brakes while this was going on and the passengers head hit the inside of the windshield with a "THUNK". It was so funny. No injury.

The passenger died several years later of a head injury. That's just the way it goes. The car incident was still funny. People die.
