Moses and what the hell

 What is going on with God and running Moses up and down the mountain? Then God keeps Moses up on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights to tell him several chapters of the book of Exodus, which should have taken less than a day. God tells Moses lots of things all the time, not just on the mountain. It appears Moses goes up three or more times and is getting tired of it, Exodus 19:22. It's weird. Also Moses stays up on the mountain 40 days and nights two times. Each time God gave Moses tablets it took 40 days and nights.

 Up Exodus 19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

Down Exodus 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

 Down Exodus 19:14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

 Up Exodus 19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

Down Exodus 19:21-25 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
(Moses pushes back here, because he just climbed up and did nothing.)

Up Exodus 24:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:

Up higher Exodus 24:13-15 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. ( Moses stays 40 days and nights)

Down Exodus 32:15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

Up Exodus 34:4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

Down Exodus 34:29  And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. (Moses stays another 40 days and nights)
