people and doctors in the Bible

There are a few events recorded involving people that go to doctors and get worse or don't get better. At least one time the Bible faults the person for not seeking the Lord, will provide below. The point is that millions or billions of people have sought the Lord down through history and often get worse or die. Jesus indicates in Matthew 13 that's it's our fault, if we acted differently Jesus would turn and heal us. But it isn't clear what we would do different. it's all in parables. Jesus gives some clear instructions.

Matthew 2542For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

In the above verses we must discern, murderers are in prison, but are they Jesus children? Back in Jesus time religious imprisonment was common, these were Jesus children, not murderers. I wouldn't take in homeless people in America, they are often mooches and won't work. The Bible is talking about travelers with obvious means, they just need a place for the night.

We should watch for opportunities to help people, but using wisdom. Rahab helped the spies and saved herself and family, but everyone else in the city she lived in got slaughtered. Maybe it was ok, because it was from the Lord, still, she turned on her own people to save her skin, and is rewarded with her life and being in Jesus' ancestry. If Chinese spies showed up at my door should I hide them, because God has given America into the hand of the Chinese? It's hard to know, but the Chinese government is godless, even though God uses anyone in any capacity. The people that destroyed Israel didn't worship God.

Doing all this stuff doesn't promise you a healing, it's all too unassociated. when you seek healing you aren't thinking, go do good deeds for ten years, then get healed.

All we have is the Bible, which has no formula for healing. Even in Leviticus, there are several chapters devoted to leprosy, but no cure, just put your hand over your mouth and cry, "unclean! unclean!" Gee, thanks. You die a slow horrific death, no cure.

Seeking doctors, instead of God:

 2 Chronicles 16:12
“And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.”

I've sought the Lord and been healed sometimes, but I've prayed over the years for some cronic problems, and they get worse, or level off for a few years. Is it my fault,  am I Job?
