Exodus 19-30 is very weird

 God's Acts very strange in these chapters. God has Moses go up the mountain four or five times. Two times Moses stays forty days and forty nights. In those eighty days God gives Moses the 10 commandments twice and Moses writes some of the book of Exodus. One time Moses gets to the top and God says go back down immediately. Very strange. At one point God warned Moses the people must stay off of the mountain or die, then another time Moses stays gone so long the people start sinning and Moses has about 3000 people slaughtered with the sword. God knew they were about to start sinning, but keeps Moses up on the mountain. Also, At one point God has a loud trumpet sounding that scares all the people, but doesn't use the trumpet to scare them if Moses isn't there. God just let's them sin and doesn't use God's booming voice or trumpet or lightning. Just let them sin. Then Moses kills them.

And another thing, while Moses is running up and down the mountain for well over 80 days, 2 million people are sitting around eating manna. They have animals and tents and desert and each other to irritate. It's really mentally ill.
