Jesus and the hernia

 

 I know Jesus can heal my hernia. I believe the Bible that Jesus healed hundreds of people. I have the faith. I think that millions of people are like me, they believe in Jesus and they have the faith, but they die of cancer or other illnesses every day. You can have all the faith of all the saints combined, and Jesus generally doesn't heal people. I have had healings before, but Jesus has a different agenda. Jesus says in Matthew 13, if we see and hear and are converted He will turn and heal us. I believe Jesus has helped me do all those things. I profess Jesus as my savior and the only savior of humanity. So, being healed doesn't make me special. But we still don't have a simple repeatable way to have Jesus heal us. It's almost like healings are too make the point of Jesus diety and to confirm the gospel of Jesus as God and savior. Once that has occurred then healings are optional. Millions of Christians died from the black plague, they probably prayed for healing and died.

Hence we turn to science and the medical system. Doctors 'saved' my life as a kid. I'm thankful to the doctors and Jesus.

Little kids die every day with their parents begging Jesus to heal their kid. Someone has said that God loves your kids and loved Jesus when Jesus was unjustly killed. But that still doesn't fix it. The kid is still dead. maybe God will explain how we could have all been healed every time, it would be great to know now.
