elon's abundance

 

The problem with unlimited abundance for all is that it means making the very best of everything 8 billion times for free. Everybody wants their own cruise ship, everybody wants a 747 aircraft, everybody wants steak and lobster everyday, everybody wants the best clothes, everybody wants to live in a mansion. It would be great to be on vacation all the time, traveling to the most exotic locations, eating the finest foods, experiencing the best the world has to offer all the time, times 8 billion. Nobody wants to stand in line, nobody wants to wait to dock their own cruise ship, nobody wants to have to schedule take off times for their 747 along with 8 billion other humans. Well maybe the answer is that we reduce our dream size down so that everybody can have everything. The problem is rich people have no desire to reduce their dreams, why should they? In fact people that are working to get ahead don't want to get something less than they might be able to get if they were working for it. Then maybe the answer is we accept some limitations. Suddenly it starts sounding like some sort of socialistic system where you really get nothing and you're supposed to be happy eating gruel living in some cold dark corner.
