homeless people
After dealing with a few homeless people it appears they have a dull blunt spirit. They talk in a dull mindless voice, "got any cigarettes?", "I sure am hungry", "can you give me five dollars?" They all need everything, because they won't work. They even say, "I hate work, I hate working fast food."
One person told me they had become a Christian, later they conned a dying woman out of $2000 for a riding lawn mower. After she died they sold it for some cash. It makes sense, to them.
Guess what? I hate work to, but I say stuff like, "it puts food on the table ", "it pays the bills", "it's something to do."
My take on this is that prosperity brings the destruction of God. God reprograms us to fail, even while it appears things are "getting better."
At first glance it would appear God hates prosperity. In Revelation chapter two and three this attitude is demonstrated. The churches that were poor and destitute and persecuted were praised by God, but the Laodiceans were condemned by God. They proclaimed Christ, but had become dependent on their wealth. This made God furious.
America is even worse. America has come to embrace baby slaughter and sodomy, but where is God's wrath? Homeless people? It doesn't make sense.
